Linkage Assurance PLC, (Linkage) was incorporated on the 26th of March 1991. The company was licensed on the 7th of October 1993 to transact general business and commenced operations in January,1994. Linkage is a public limited company that has been listed on the floors of the Nigeria Stock Exchange since 2003.
In 2004, the company won the President's Merit Award for the Insurance Sector, awarded by the Nigeria Stock Exchange. In February 2007, the company formally merged with Central Insurance Company Limited (now dissolved but not wound up) as part of the 2007 Recapitalization and Consolidation Reforms of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM).
JOB TITLE: Insurance Underwriters
Job Objectives:
Reviews individual applications for insurance to evaluate degree of risk involved and determine acceptance of applications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Prepares policy documents and endorsement
•Generates and dispatches renewal notices and follows up with clients/customers
•Recommends the involvement and appointment of risk surveyors, superintendents etc.
•Inspects small risks for assessment and ensures the integrity of underwriting records and files.
•Generates debit notes for accounts department to match with payments.
•Issues certificate to clients/customers as appropriate.
•Processes commissions, co-insurance premium and other professional fees for approval and payments.
Requirements:
•B.Sc. (Insurance) or any Social Science or Science course
•At least 3 yrs experience in underwriting.
•Excellent spoken and writing communication skills
•Good Numerical and Analytical skills.
•Not more than 32 Years
•Possession of ACII will be an added advantage.
