CULT WAR EXPLODES IN OWERRI - IMO STATE(PHOTO)

Its yet another season of blood-shed in owerri the capital city of Imo state which is blessed with quite a handful of universities and tertiary institutions. The blood which became noticeable last week with almost 15 people already killed as a result of the on-going feud between rival cults. reports reaching VibesngistBLOG today, has it that the killings which started from the streets has now entered into the universities, preciesly the Imo State university (IMSU), as gunshots and dead bodies were heard and seen in the environs surrounding the state university. Some of the victims were said to have met their sudden deaths at the highly populated owerri market: The Eke-onunwa Market where the victim who is pictured below was shot and hacked to death by some assailants believed to be cult boys.
Reports has it that several gunshots was heard in Okwu-Uratta and the IMSU back-gate environs earlier yesterday and earlier today, as well as some victims met their death at the ever-busy Douglas road too.
Pls we advise that people living in Owerri and environs should pls tread with caution and avoid late hour movement as its been reported that innocent people have been killed in such cult bloodbath in prevous years.
Report has it that this particular cult war is still at its starting point...so we plead to the government and security personels in the state to please help stop this bloodshed.
