SAD: Ex- Kogi Gov's Wife Slumps, Dies While Preparing to Pray

Family members and residents of Kogi State have been thrown into mourning over the death of the wife of Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, a former governor of Kogi State, Hajiya Zainab Idris.
Hajiya Idris was said to have slumped and died in the early hours of Saturday while about performing the Islamic prayers.
It was also learnt that her surprising death was a great shock to both her family members and residents of the state as she was said to have appeared healthy on Friday night before her shocking demise of an undisclosed ailment.
Though, she had been buried according to Islamic rites.
It was gathered that the state governor, Capt. Idris Wada, his wife, Halima and the state's deputy governor, Mr. Yomi Awoniyi, cancelled all planned functions to show respect and mourning for the deceased.
Halima, according to her media consultant, Abubakar Yusuf, described her predecessor's death as a big loss to the state, the entire nation, and womanhood in general.
She added that the death of Zainab had created a vacuum that will linger for a long time.
It was learnt that condolence register had been opened at the office of the Kogi First Lady for the deceased
