Hamza El-Rufai died in a car accident that occurred few hours ago (Tuesday). It is however not immediately known where the crash occurred.
The father of the deceased broke the news on his faceboook page at about 8:00 am Tuesday morning.
The post read thus: "From Allah we came and to Him we shall return. Please join our family in praying for the repose of the soul of my son Hamza El-Rufai who died this morning in a motor accident in Abuja."
Also, the brother of the deceased, Bello El-Rufai posted "Inna Lilahi Waina Lilahi Rajiun" on Twitter this handle an hour ago.
The recitation is a common pronouncement made by Muslims on hearing the news of death. It means, 'From Allah we have come and unto HIM we shall return'.
Efforts to get further information has not been successful as the family is still in a state of confusion.
