A female student at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Jalingo, Taraba State, and her father have been arrested after allegedly attempting to smuggle two military hand grenades into the school.
According to Tribune, the grenades were discovered by the school's internal security operatives during a routine search returning students' luggage.
The grenades were reportedly found in her bag of garri.
State Police Public Relations Officer, John Kwaji, is said to have confirmed the incident, stating that the two suspects are currently in police custody.
