He started his musical career in 2008 while he was still in junior secondary school. Peter was introduced into music by his music director Mr Moses Owa also known as (Golden Boy) in benin city who graduated from Uwaifo’s music school.

The Uwaifo-relative, who claims to hold the last memory of the late Victor Uwaifo, said they had both collaborated on a song barely eight days before his uncle’s demise.
“I was 8, when I lost my father. That was in 2002. I can’t recall many things but I knew my father, Clement Uwaifo (Clemico) was the first music icon in our family. He nurtured Sir Victor into music. My father can play all music instruments and had to retire for his younger brother to continue doing music. He went into typewriting school. I never saw my dad play music nor heard his songs but a lot of people told me about his music life. That much I know.
Peter shows versatility in his path by singing indigenous and non indigenous music. quite a gospel lover, he shows his role as a Christian by praising gods name through his record. He also has seven siblings respectively of which he’s the last.

Peter De Rock comes from the Uwaifo’s family who hail from Ugwisi town of Oredo local government area and was born in the year 1994 January 28. Peter De Rock’s father late Clement Uwaifo was the immediate elder brother to Prof Victor Uwaifo and was the first musician in the family. unfortunately he was eight(8) years old when his biological father passed on and since then has watched and taken prof. Victor Uwaifo as his father figure and mentor till date. Peter De Rock loves music as he says its part of him. from gospel to highlife music. ministering in churches to present his gospel songs and performs his highlife music like his mentor in various shows. He plays various musical instruments like the guitar, piano, bass, saxophone, and drums. He gained a certificate in Jehoshaphat music Academy and has his own music band called De Rock Muzik Factory.
In a press interview with the CEO of Dailytrendtv “Prince Fredoo Perry” Peter De Rock quotes “I grew up seeing Sir Victor Uwaifo as my father. I have been close to him since 2010. When he saw my interest, he started giving me lessons on the guitar. That is why you can see his impartation to me. He gave me my first electric guitar and wireless transmitter,” his eyes teared up as he reminisced on his relationship with the late Uwaifo.
Currently signed to Denmark based Robert A. Douglas Entertainment, Peter began his music career, in 2008, as a Junior Secondary School student. He was introduced into music by his music director, Mr. Moses Owa aka ‘Golden Boy’ in Benin, who was also a graduate of Uwaifo’s Music Academy.
