Verchi, who has generated more than 3 million streams within the last two years. The deal between Verchi and Dream Empire Music was cemented a few weeks ago and was announced early hours of today with a series of music listening held at Dream Empire Music, HQ last weekend with industry insiders in attendance. However, the deal is not an extension of Verchi’s previous deal with the label but a new deal which is part of a global distributor involved. The singer who is known for his 2021 minor hit “My Lover” which was well received with millions of streams on DSP and went on to release “Mix Up Liqour” with labelmate Majeeed — in 2022, has now released a new record, “Amen” which will serve as his first major release with Dream after renewing his contract.

Amen” a rhythmic earnest prayer for God to protect him and show him mercy from the works of the desire of his enemies. Lyrically the song reads; ‘Oluwa show me Mercy, Amen!; No let them see me finish, Amen! Amen!!; Father, My Father!! — Say Me I go thank Jehovah, Amen!; Say nobody spoil my peace of mind’— the song represents the aspiration of everyday Nigerians.

Speaking on his deal with Dream Empire, Verchi said: “I have been pushing with Dream Empire Music since 2020, and I’m glad to have this incredible team. They have been amazing and YES!; I’m excited to continue working with them. The deal is not an extension of the old one — but it includes working with a global distributor, and it also covers everything a 360-deal would and beyond a 360.”

Raymond Ifie, Managing Director, Dream Empire Music, adds: “Verchi is an incredible talent who has achieved millions of listeners within a space of 2 years.  We enjoy working with him and we are glad to continue this journey with him to stardom, with a global distribution backing the deal. There is going to be a lot of incredible music and a body of work coming within the year from Verchi.”
